Threading is a temporary hair removal technique used mostly on eyebrows, as well as the upper and lower lips, cheeks, and chin. The name is derived from the cotton threads that are twisted to pull the hair from the root.
Unlike the most of the hair removal methods, which may cause an allergic reaction or other side effects, threading is a clean and skin friendly procedure.
The thread can remove a few hairs at a time, as it shortens the duration of the procedure.
Threading leads to visibly slower growth of the hairs and they get thinner and thinner, as well.
The first procedure is a little bit painful. The unpleasant sensation depends on hairs’ thickness and density. With each procedure the discomfort decreases and the skin becomes velvety soft as a final result.
